JUSTICE DEVASHIS BARUAH ORDER Date : 08.12.2025 Heard Mr. A. A. Ahmed, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the Petitioners and Mr. K. Gogoi, the learned CGC appearing on behalf of the Respondent Railways. 2. The Petitioners herein are aggrieved by the non-payment of the amounts of Rs.21,00,000/-, Rs.4,76,000/- and Rs.5,512/- which the Petitioners claim to be entitled to. 3. It is seen that the Respondents have duly filed their affidavit wherein it is mentioned that the Petitioners are only entitled to the amounts of Rs.88.03p towards Final Bill amount, Rs.18,30,663/- towards Security Deposit and Rs.4,76,000/- towards Earnest Money. This aspect of the matter can be seen from paragraph Nos.4, 6 and 7 of the affidavit. Page No.# 3/3 4. It is further seen at paragraph No.10 of the said affidavit that the Respondents categorically mentioned that in the meantime, the payment process/plan head of the Railways have changed from P/1465 to B/241- 32 and as such, some additional time is required to complete the necessary formalities for payment of the dues to the Petitioners to the tune of Rs.88.03p, Rs.18,30,663/- and Rs.4,76,000/-. 5. Taking into account that the said amounts have been duly admitted, the instant writ petition stands disposed of with the following observations and directions: (i) The Respondents herein are directed to disburse the amount of Rs.88.03p + Rs.18,30,663/- + Rs.4,76,000/- = Rs.23,06,751.03p within a period of 6 (six) months from the date a certified copy of the present order is served upon the Respondent No.4. (ii) The said direction to make the payment is jointly and severally upon all the Respondents of the present writ petition. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
