Petitioner has been made accused in connection with Balumath P.S. Case No. 32 of 2025 corresponding to G.R. No. 555 of 2025, for the offences registered under Sections 308(4), 308(5), 61(2), 317(5) of the B.N.S., 2023, Sections 25(1-B)a, 26, 35 of the Arms Act and Section 17 of the C.L.A. Act, pending in the Court of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Latehar.

On 12.04.2025 at 03.10 pm, Balumath Police on the basis of confidential information that some extremists had assembled at Hesabar Bhang forest area, Balumath, raided the place of occurrence and apprehended this petitioner and co-accused persons. On search, one loaded country-made gun, 16 live cartridges and 9 live cartridges of 8 mm pistol were recovered from possession of the petitioner.

Learned A.P.P. for the State has submitted that the petitioner is an accused in as many as six cases of similar nature.

Considering the criminal antecedent of the petitioner, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, his prayer for bail is rejected.

Learned Trial Court shall expedite the trial.
