[2] Learned counsel for the parties submit that the matter has been settled vide mediation proceeding dated 17-11-2025 and the matter may be closed in terms of the settlement in the mediation. The brief description of the present Writ Petition is that the Petitioners have filed the present Writ Petition with the prayer to direct the State Respondent, particularly Respondent No. 2 i.e. The Director of Settlement of Land Records, Manipur, lamphelpat, P.O. & P.S. Lamphel, Imphal West, Manipur to expedite the process of eviction of the unauthorised occupants, 69 in numbers which are arrayed as Private Respondents in the present matter. 2. That, the core issue of the present mediation case is dispute between the residents of Khurkhul Awang Mamang Leikai (the Petitioners) and Khurkhul Awang Maning Leikai the (Private Respondents) in respect possession of land, resultantly, both the Petitioner and the Private Respondent has filed cross eviction cases against each other before the concerned forum. 3. That, during the course of mediation, both the Petitioner and the Private Respondents has come to an amicable settlement and a copy of the grounds of settlement (Annexure-A/1) has been produced before the mediation, the broader points of which is as follows:- (i) That, both the Parties i.e. The Petitioners and the Private Respondents will not interrupt or Claim the land already in possession of each other. (ii) That, both the Parties i.e. The Petitioners and the Private Respondents will jointly use the road and river within the land of Khurkhul Village without any obstruction/disturbance from both the sides. (iii) That, both the Parties i.e. The Petitioners and the Private Respondents has agreed to maintain a specific area (described in the Agreement copy) for the purpose of maintaining soirel yumpham. (iv) That, both the Parties i.e. The Petitioners and the Private Respondents have agreed to withdraw any existing litigation WP(C) No. 616 of 2020 with respect to the possession of enjoyment of land by both the Parties. 4. That, in consideration of the above mentioned settlement agreement, both the parties has agreed to settle the present matter through mediation by withdrawal of the Present Writ Petition by the Petitioner. As such, a settlement have been reached on the abovementioned agreement, the matter stands "SETTLED as WITHRAWAL OF THE CASE BY THE PETITIONER.
