A case has been registered against the Petitioner herein and others for the offence punishable under Section 8(c) read with 20(b)(ii)(C) of the Narcotic Drugs and PsychotropiC Substances Act, 1985 (for short {the NDPS Act'). 3. Thecaseofthe prosecution in briefiSthat: on 29.08.2024, at about 04.00 PM, the Sub-Inspector of Police, Kiriampudi Police Station, along With his Staff and mediators, While conducting vehicle checking on NH-16 road, near Toll Plaza, Krishnavaram village Of Kirlampudi Mandal, found A2 to A4 in possession and illegal transportation Of 84.66 Kgs of Ganja in a lorry bearing registration No.KA 01 AM 3279, which was Proceeding towards Krishnavaram village from VIsakhaPatnam. The contraband along With vehicle and other material was seized under cover of a mediators report and a case has been registered against the accused. _ _<grzzp ±i=_ 2 4. Heard. perusedtherecord. 5. A perusal of the material on record goes to show that the polI'Ce have seized 84.66 Kgs of Ganja from the possession of the accused. Learned Assistant public prosecutor submits that entire I'nVeStigatjon I'S completed and charge sheet is not yet filed for want of arrest of A1, as he was abscondI'ng.
