Heard Mr. S. Chauhan, learned counsel for the applicant. Also heard Mr. S. S. Roy, learned Government Advocate for the State respondents. By filing this application, the applicant/petitioner prays for impleadment of the State of Assam represented by Chief Secretary, Government of Assam, as respondent No. 1(A) in the connected writ petition, being WP(C) No. 5996/2025. The applicant/writ petitioner has filed the connected WP(C) No. 5996/2025 seeking direction to the respondents to take up the case of the applicant/petitioner for reconsideration on the basis of the conduct report and also challenging the Minutes of the Review Board dated 27.12.2024 pertaining to remission of his life sentence. Mr. S. Chauhan, learned counsel for the applicant, submits that the State of Assam represented by the Chief Secretary, Government of Assam has been inadvertently omitted as party respondent in the connected writ petition. Therefore, he prays for allowing the application to implead the State of Assam represented by Chief Secretary, Government of Assam as respondent No. 1(A) Mr. S. S. Roy, learned State Counsel, raises no objection for impleadment of the State of Assam represented by Chief Secretary. Having considered the submissions of learned counsel for the parties and

Thus, I deem it appropriate to allow this interlocutory application. Accordingly, the State of Assam represented by the Chief Secretary, Government of Assam, is allowed to be impleaded as respondent No. 1A in the connected WP(C) No. 5996/2025. Interlocutory application stands allowed and disposed of.
