2. Petitioner seeks a direction to the respondents to allow him to continue in service till he attains the age of 60 years in light of law laid down in CWP No.2274 of 2021, decided alongwith connected matters on 28.05.2024 titled as Satya Devi Vs. State of H.P. and others.

Respondents have not disputed that the case of the petitioner is covered by the judgment passed in Satya Devi (supra), but said judgment has been stayed by Hon’ble Apex Court in Special Leave Petition (Civil) No. 20496 of 2024 titled as State of Himachal Pradesh & Ors. Vs. Inder Pal, wherein it has been held as under:-
“(1) Delay condoned. (2) Let the notice be issued to the respondents(s) in all the matters. (3) Tag alongwith SPL(C) No. 20496 of 2024 (4) In the meantime the operation of the impugned order(s), is/are stayed.”
4. In view of above, present petition is disposed of by directing that the benefits flowing in favour of the petitioner shall be subject to outcome of the SLP filed by the respondents in the aforesaid decision. Interim direction, if any, stands vacated. All pending application stand disposed of. July 30, 2025 (Sandeep Sharma), (sunil)
