Heard Mr. S. Rahman, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. G. Pegu, learned Standing Counsel, Elementary Education Department, Government of Assam appearing for the respondents. By filing this writ petition, two petitioners, who were working as Block Elementary Education Officers and retired from service from the Elementary Education Department, Government of Assam, has prayed for payment of arrear of promotional benefit amounting to Rs.39,804/- and Rs.2,30,284/- respectively. When the matter is taken up for consideration, Mr. G. Pegu, learned Standing Counsel, Elementary Education Department by placing the communication dated 12.11.2025 submits that the government has already sanctioned a total amount of Rs.2,70,088/- being the arrear amount in respect of both the petitioners, which shall be disbursed shortly to the petitioners. Having considered above, I am of the view that no issue remains to be adjudicated in this proceedings.
