The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is the of the lorry bearing No. AP-31-TE-5658. It is submitted that the said lorry was taken on hire by respondent Nos.2 to 10. Subsequently, the lorry was seized by the police in connection with Crime No. 105 of 2025 on the file of Piduguralla Police Station, Guntur District. It is further submitted that the vehicle was purchased about 15 years ago and that its present value would not exceed Rs. 6 to 7 lakhs. 2. owner However, when the petitioner filed Crl.M.P.No.1403 of 2025 seeking interim custody of the vehicle, the learned Magistrate allowed the petition, but imposed a onerous condition of executing a personal bond for a sum of Rs.25 lakhs and furnishing one surety for a like sum, apart from other conditions to be complied with. 3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is unable to furnish a surety for Rs.25 lakhs. That apart, the value of the vehicle 4. is not more than Rs.6 to 7 lakhs. 5. Considering the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Assistant Public Prosecutor, this Court is inclined to modify the condition imposed in Crl.M.P.No.1403 of 2025. The petitioner is directed to furnish a personal bond for for a like sum. The shall remain in force till the stands modified. a sum of Rs.5 lakhs and also remaining conditions i produce one surety imposed by the learned Magistrate completion of the trial.
