Petitioners have been made accused in connection with Chandil P.S. Case No. 225 of 2024, for the offences registered under Sections 274/ 275/ 292/318(4)/338/336(3)/340(2)/3(5) of the B.N.S., 2023 and Section 47(a) of the Excise Act, pending in the Court of learned S.D.J.M., Chandil. On 29.09.2024, Chandil police apprehended the petitioners along with co-accused persons and on search, 500 liters of English liquor were recovered from their possession. It was submitted that petitioners are in custody since 29.09.2024. It was further submitted that offence alleged is triable by Court of Judicial Magistrate. In view of the submission made above, I am inclined to release the petitioners, on bail. Accordingly, the petitioners, named above, are directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees twenty thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned S.D.J.M., Chandil, in connection with Chandil P.S.
