This is an application under Section 483 of the BNSS, 2023, petitioner namely, Jaynal Miya has prayed for regular bail in connection with Dispur P.S. Case No. 1366/2024 under Section 65(2) BNS, 2023 read with Section 8 of the POCSO Act, 2012. The scanned copy of the Trial Court record as called for has been received. This Court has gone through the same alongwith the statement of PW-1. Having regard to the materials available on record, this Court is not inclined to grant the privilege of bail to the petitioner at this stage. Accordingly, prayer for bail stands rejected. Mr. A.R. Sikdar, learned counsel for the petitioner made a prayer for speedy trial of the matter. Such prayer may be made before the learned Trial Court which will be considered. The bail application stands dismissed.
