Case No. 37 of 2024, corresponding to NDPS Case No.51 of 2024, for the offence under Sections 8(c)/18/21(c)/22/25 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, pending in the court of Sri Rashikesh Kumar, learned Special Judge, NDPS Act, Khunti. Bail application of the petitioner was earlier rejected by this Court vide B.A. No. 1136/2025, by order dated 12.02.2025. On 02.08.2024 at about 03:10 pm, Arki Police on the basis of confidential information apprehended four persons, including the petitioner and on search, 4.163 kgs of opium were recovered from their joint possession. It appears that commercial quantity of opium was recovered from the possession of the petitioner and co-accused persons. In view of the aforesaid fact, I am not inclined to release the petitioner, on bail. Accordingly, his prayer for bail is hereby rejected. Learned Trial Court shall expedite the trial.
