The petitioner has filed the contempt application alleging violation of the order of this Court dated 16.04.2025, with regard to the issuance of a joint Patta to the petitioner and to one Shri Kamini Modok. 2. Today, Mr. S. Dey, learned counsel for the respondents has produced a copy of the notice in the said matter, which shows that the petitioner and one Shri Kamini Modok have received the notice in the mutation proceedings. He submits that in spite of receipt of the notice, which is evidenced by the signatures which are appended thereto, the petitioner nor the said Shri Kamini Modok appeared before the authorities. He further submits that the filing of the instant contempt application is mischievous with the aim to browbeat the respondents. 3. This Court takes note of the submissions and has also examined the Notice under Section-52 of the Assam Land Revenue Regulation 1886. It is also noted that the same has been received by the petitioner and by Shri Kamini Modok, the signature in the notice and in the affidavit appears to be of the petitioner. 4. In this view of the matter, this Court takes serious note of the same and while closing the contempt application, though more stringent steps are called for, however closes this matter by imposing cost on the petitioner of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) only to be paid to the High Court Bar Association, within a period of 2(two) weeks, from today. 5.
