PUBLIC PROSECUTOR The Court made the following order: This Criminal Petition is filed by the petitioner herein under Section 482 of Cr.P.C., to direct the Special Judicial First Class Magistrate (Mobile)-cum-lll Additional Junior Civil Judge, Eluru to examine the last witness, as per the docket order dated 27.11.2024 in C.C.No.750 of 2022. 2. Heard Sri Raja Reddy Koneti, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that this Court vide order dated 02.07.2024 in Criminal Petition No.3472 of 2024 passed order with a direction to the learned Magistrate to expedite the trial in the case and dispose of the same as expeditiously as possible preferably, within a period of three (03) months, from the date of receipt of a copy of the order. But the learned trial Court fails to complete trial though only one witness remains to be examined in this case. Considering the above facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is of the considered opinion that the Criminal Petition can be disposed of at the stage of admission, without going into the merits with a direction to the learned Magistrate to take all possible steps for examination of the remaining witness, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of two (02) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the order and to dispose of this case at an early date i.e., within a period of one (01) month from the date of receipt of copy of the order. 4. 5. Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is disposed of. As a sequel, interlocutory applications pending, if any, shall stand closed.
