This is an application filed under Section 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Page No.# 2/2 Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, praying for granting of bail in respect of the accused/petitioner namely Sahil Akhtar, in connection with Hajo P.S. Case No. 422/2025 under Section 127 (3), 87 BNS, 2023. 3. The allegations against the petitioner in the FIR is that the petitioner has lured the victim and made her to elope with him and took her to the house of his friends and instead of marrying her, he pressurized her to have a physical relationship, but, on her refusal, the petitioner fled from the place. Thereafter, the victim was sent back to her house. 4. It is submitted that the informant is a married lady and she went with the accused on her own accord, but the petitioner being a student was not in a position to marry her. The statement that the informant is a married woman is supported by the affidavit. There is no allegation of forcible sexual intercourse. 5. The learned Addl. Public Prosecutor prays for calling for the CD. However, having regard to the nature of the allegations and the fact that the petitioner is a student who has already been 21 days behind bars, further detention of the petitioner is not considered unnecessary. 6. Accordingly, prayer for bail is allowed. 7. The petitioner shall be released on bail on furnishing a bail bond of Rs. 20,000/- with one surety of like amount in connection to the aforesaid case to the satisfaction of the Elaka Magistrate.
