JUSTICE KARDAK ETE ORDER 03-12-2025 Heard Mr. B. P . Borah, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. B. K. Sen, learned Standing counsel, Punjab National Bank for the respondents. 1. The challenge made in these writ petitions is to the suspension order dated 29.04.2024 issued by the Circle Head, Punjab National Bank, Nagaon Circle, on the ground that the suspension has been allowed to continue without any review. 2. Mr. Sen, learned Standing counsel, Punjab National Bank submits that the suspension order was reviewed from time to time in accordance with law. However, by order dated 18.11.2025, after completion of the disciplinary proceeding, the petitioner has been imposed major penalty of removal from service. 3. Considering the above, since the final order has already been passed imposing penalty, these writ petitions have become infructuous. 4. Accordingly, writ petitions are closed as infructuous. 5. Needless to observe that the petitioner would be at liberty to challenge the final order as may be permissible under law. Page No.# 4/4 6.
