The petitioner has been made accused in connection with N.D.P.S. Korrah P.S. Case No. 120 of 2024 for the offences registered under sections 21(b), 21(c), 22(b), 22(c) and 29 of the N.D.P.S. Act, pending in the court of learned Principal District & Sessions Judge-cum-Special Judge, NDPS, Hazaribag. On 14.07.2024 at 1.45 p.m., Korrah Police on the basis of confidential information, intercepted a Swift Dzire Car bearing registration no. JH 01AA 9194 and two motorcycle bearing registration nos. JH 24E 5918 and JH 13D 0868. On search, 2.00 kg. of brown sugar was recovered from the Swift Dezire car while 2.80 kg. of brown sugar was recovered from the two motorcycles. Petitioner is alleged to be travelling on one of the motorcycles. It was submitted that the seizure list regarding the seizure of brown sugar does not bear the signature of the petitioner. It was further submitted that similarly situated co-accused persons have been granted bail by this Court earlier. In view of the submissions made above, I am inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, above named, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees twenty thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Principal District & Sessions Judge-cum-Special Judge, NDPS, Hazaribag, in connection with N.D.P.S.
