This habeas corpus petition has been filed on behalf of the petitioner (father) seeking custody of the corpus – his daughter. [2025:RJ-JP:33631-DB] (2 of 2) [HC-240/2025] 2. Today the concerned SHO has produced the corpus before us. Admittedly, the corpus is above 18 years of age and this fact has been confirmed by counsel for the petitioner as well as by learned Government Advocate-cum-Additional Advocate General. 3. We have interacted with the corpus and she has firmly stated before us that she does not want to go and live with the petitioner (her father). After giving ample time to her to think over the matter, corpus has stated before the Court that she be sent to Mahila Sadan, Sanganer, Sector-3, Pratap Nagar, Jaipur. 4. Considering the fact that the corpus is major and above 18 years of age and also considering the fact that she does not want to go and live with the petitioner, we direct the concerned SHO to safely escort and admit the corpus to Mahila Sadan, Sanganer, Sector-3, Pratapnagar, Jaipur today itself. 5. In that view of the matter, this habeas corpus petition stands disposed off. 6. Since the corpus is major, if she wants to live independently out of Mahila Sadan, Sanganer, Sector-3, Pratapnagar, Jaipur, she can apply for the same to the concerned Superintendent of Mahila Sadan and the concerned Superintendent of Mahila Sadan on receiving such application is free to release the corpus after necessary verification.
