The petitioner has been made accused in connection with Nagri P.S. Case No. 93 of 2021, for the offence under Sections 147, 148, 149, 307 & 353 of the Indian Penal Code, Section 27 of the Arms Act and Section 17 of the CLA Act, pending in the court of Sri Prashant Gupta, learned Judicial Magistrate, 1st class, Ranchi. On 07.06.2021 at about 10:15 a.m., Nagri Police received a confidential information that some extremists had assembled at Chette forest area. Nagri Police went to the place of occurrence. On seeing the police party, the miscreants opened fire. There was exchange of firing. On being overpowered, the miscreants fled away. It was submitted that the name of the petitioner had transpired on the basis of the fact that the accused persons were taking each other names. It was further submitted that no police personnel were injured in the said occurrence. It was finally submitted that co-accused Amar Munda @ Kande Munda has been granted bail by a Coordinate Bench of this Court in B.A. No.10334/2022. In view of the submission made above, I am inclined to release the petitioner, on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, named above, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of Sri Prashant Gupta, learned Judicial Magistrate, 1st class, Ranchi, or his successor, in connection with Nagri P.S.
