Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri Divya Teja, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Revenue for respondents 1 to 4. 2. The petitioner is the absolute owner and possessor of an extent of Ac.5- 50 cents in Sy.No.1083 of Amadagur Village and Mandal, Sri Satya Sai District, having purchased Ac.4-00 cents under a registered sale deed dated 18.03.1964 and having transferred Ac.1-00 cents under a registered Gift Deed dated
19.07.1989. The petitioner made an application vide

No.APDL012200212724 dated 03.08.2022 (Ex.P.1) requesting the authority to delete the petitioner’s subject property from the category of “dotted lands”. 3. The Tahsildar, Amadagur, submitted a report vide Rc. No.15/2025, dated 15.02.2025 (Ex.P.2) to the Collector & Chairman, District Level Committee recommending for deletion of the petitioner’s land from the category of dotted lands. The 3rd respondent, the Revenue Divisional Officer, Kadiri, also addressed a letter vide Rc.No.225/2025/D, dated 29.04.2025 (Ex.P.3) recommending deleting the petitioner’s property from the category of dotted lands. As per Section 7 of the A.P.Dotted Lands (Updation in Re-Settlement Register) Act, 2017, the District level committee shall dispose of the claim on merits and pass a speaking order within six (6) months from the date of filing of the claim. Section 8 of the Act provides that an appeal against the orders of the District level committee shall lie before the Chief Commissioner of Land Administration within ninety (90) days. 4. In the case at hand, the petitioner made an application Ex.P.1 on
03.08.2022. The 4th respondent-Tahsildar and the 3rd respondent-Revenue Divisional Officer intimated about the application of the petitioner to the District Collector by way of Exs.P.2 and P.3. Despite the said representations, the 2nd respondent-District Collector has not taken any action. 5. Learned Assistant Government Pleader on oral instructions submits that the 2nd respondent, the District Collector, will pass appropriate orders. 6. Given the facts and circumstances of the case, the writ petition is
disposed of at the admission stage with the consent of learned counsel on either side directing the 2nd respondent, the District Collector-Sri Satya Sai District to pass appropriate orders on Ex.P.1 application by taking into

consideration the reports vide Exs.P2 and P.3 within six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of the copy of this order. No order as to costs.
