CORAM: HONOURABLE THE ACTING CHIEF JUSTICE and HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE PARTHA SARTHY ORAL JUDGMENT (Per: HONOURABLE THE ACTING CHIEF JUSTICE) Date : 26-06-2025 Heard the learned counsel for the parties.
2. Under the then existing policy with respect to appointment of Chaukidars, the father of the appellant, a serving Chaukidar, took V.R.S. in order to have his son/appellant accommodated. However, the
Patna High Court L.P.A No.120 of 2022 dt.26-06-2025 2/2 appellant was not of the age where appointment could be given to him.
3. Later, the entire policy of accommodating wards of serving Chaukidars was done away with.
4. In any view of the matter, at the relevant time, the appellant was a minor and therefore he could not have been offered appointment.
5. We see no reason to interfere with the
judgment passed by the learned Single Judge on 09.02.2022 in C.W.J.C. No. 7157 of 2021.
6. There is no merit in this appeal and the same is, therefore, dismissed.
