1. This matter is taken up through hybrid mode.
2. The Petitioners in this writ petition pray for a direction to set aside the demand notice dated 7th December, 2015 (Annexure-1) issued by the Tax Recovery Officer, Keonjhar at Barbil and to refund the tax amount so paid under Annexure-8 within a stipulated time.
3. Mr. Sahoo, learned counsel for the Petitioners by filing a memo at Flag-X prays for withdrawal of the writ petition seeking liberty to approach the Tax Recovery Officer, Barbil for settlement of the arrears as per the Notification No.TRN-LC- MISC-0018-2023/15970 dated 27th December, 2023, which has been extended up to 31st March, 2025. In support of his
contention, he also files a memo in Court today, which is taken on record.
4. Mr. Behera, learned Senior Standing Counsel for Transport Department does not have any objection to the same.
5. In view of the submissions made by learned counsel for the parties, the writ petition is disposed of as withdrawn granting liberty sought for.
