ORAL ORDER
In this petition, petitioner seeks for the following relief:-
“ WHEREFORE, it is humbly prayed to this Hon’ble Court may be pleased to Quash the FIR and complainant in Crime No. 186/2025, Dated: 22.03.2025, registered by the Respondent Mahadevapura Police, Bengaluru and Now pending before the Hon’ble 29th ACMM, Mayohall, Bengaluru for the offences under Sections 74 of Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 against the Accused/Petitioner herein and grant such other relief as this Hon’ble Court deems fit in the circumstances of the case, in the interest of justice.”

Learned counsel for the petitioner – accused and
learned counsel for 2nd respondent – complainant have filed a Joint Affidavit dated 20.06.2025 duly signed by the petitioners, 2nd respondent and their respective counsel and the same is taken on record.
3. Petitioner – accused and respondent No.2 – complainant and their respective counsel are physically present before the Court and they admit the contents of the aforesaid Joint Affidavit, which reads as under:-

JOINT AFFIDAVIT BY PETITIONER AND RESPONDENT NO.2
I, Chandan Kumar Singh S/o Shail Singh aged about 40 years, residing at Flat No. 303-A, Mahaveer Amaze, Kadugodi, Behind HP petrol pump Seegehalli, Bangalore- 560067, the Petitioner herein, humbly submit as follows:
and
I, Shikha D/o Ravindra Singh, aged about 23 years residing at 001, 1st A Main Road, Gururaja layout, Opp Max Shoppee, Doddanekundi Bengaluru 560037, the Respondent No.2/De Facto Complainan herein, humbly submit as follows:
1. That I, the Respondent No.2/De Facto Complainant had file complaint against the Petitioner before the Respondent police. Thereafter, the Respondent No.1 police had register FIR dated 22/03/2025 in crime no.186/2025 for the a punishable under section 74 of the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita pending before the Hon'ble XXIX Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Bengaluru.
2. That I the Respondent No.2/De Facto Complainant am a young working professional and after serious deliberation on several occasions, I have decided to not proceed against the Petitioner for the present complaint.
3. We, both the parties unconditionally agree to not file any complaint or pursue any litigation, against each other directly or indirectly, in person or through family members, friends, acquaintances, or any other related persons, in relevance with the present allegations.

4. We both fully aware of the consequences of the withdrawal/compounding of the case and have arrived at the present settlement with our own will and not by any undue force or influence.
Whatever is stated in the present affidavit is to the best of our knowledge, belief and understanding.”
4. In view of the aforesaid settlement entered into between the petitioner and 2nd respondent, I pass the following:
ORDER
(i) Petition is disposed of in terms of the Joint Affidavit dated 20.06.2025.
(ii) The further proceedings arising out of Crime No.186/2025 registered by the 1st respondent – Police for an offence punishable under Section 74 of BNS, 2023, pending on the file of 29th Addl.CMM, Mayohall, Bangalore, insofar as the petitioner is concerned are hereby quashed.
