Neutral Citation No. (2025:JHHC:28660) IN THE HIGH COURT OF JHARKHAND AT RANCHI B.A. No. 8057 of 2025 Rupesh Kumar, aged about 25 years, son of Rajesh Saw, resident of New Madhukam, Mahua Toli, P.O. and P.S.- Sukhdeo Nagar, District- Ranchi (Jharkhand) … Petitioner - Versus - The State of Jharkhand … Opp. Party ------ CORAM: - HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE AMBUJ NATH ----- For the Petitioner : Mr. Sahil, Advocate For the State : Mr. Sudhir Kumar Mahto, A.P.P. --- 02/18.09.2025 Heard the parties. The petitioner has been made accused in connection with Pithoria P.S. Case No. 28/2024, for the offences registered under Sections 147, 148, 149, 385 & 387 of the I.P.C. and Section 27 of the Arms Act, pending in the Court of Ms. Kanchan Kumari, learned Judicial Magistrate, Ranchi. On 13.03.2024 at about 1:30 P.M., 5-6 unknown persons came to the work site of the informant at Piprajara Water Park and opened fire to enforce demand of rangdari. It was submitted that petitioner is neither named in the F.I.R. nor he was put on T.I. Parade. It was further submitted that name of the petitioner has transpired in confession of co-accused and he has also confessed his guilt. It was finally submitted that similarly situated co-accused person has been granted bail by this Court earlier. Learned A.P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioner. In view of the submissions made above, I am inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, above named, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees twenty thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of Ms. Kanchan Kumari, learned Judicial Magistrate, Ranchi or her successor, in connection with Pithoria P.S. Case No. 28/2024. (Ambuj Nath, J.) Jay/-
