PUBLIC PROSECUTOR The Court made the following: 2 Order: Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and the learned Assistant Public Prosecutor appearing for the State. 2. The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are the parents of the 1st accused and have no business transactions with the 2nd respondent, though they have been arrayed as co-accused along with their son based on the complaint filed by the 2nd respondent. It is submitted that, even as per the contents of the complaint, the alleged business transactions were between the petitioners’ son and the 2nd respondent. It is not the case of the 2nd respondent that the petitioners were involved in the financial transactions at any point of time. 3. Considering the same, the police are directed to complete the investigation in Crime No.118 of 2024 by issuing notice under Section 35(3) of the BNSS. It is made clear that no coercive steps shall be taken against the petitioners during the course of investigation. However, this shall not preclude the Investigating Officer from filing the charge sheet/final report upon completion of the investigation. 4. Accordingly, this Criminal Petition is disposed off.
