The petitioner is apprehending his arrest in connection with Kersai P.S. Case No. 17 of 2025, registered for the offences under Sections 109 and 3(5) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, Section 11(D)(F) of Prevention of Cruelty to Animal Act and Sections 12(1) and (2) of Jharkhand Bovine Animal Prohibition of Slaughter Act, 2005, pending in the court of learned Judicial Magistrate, 1st Class, Simdega. 3. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner happened to be the owner of the pick-up van and allegations are made that on the said vehicle, bovine animals were being carried. He submits that the petitioner is having one criminal antecedent. 4. Learned A.P.P. appearing for the State has opposed the prayer and submits that the allegation is there of carrying bovine animals in the said vehicle. 5. Considering that the petitioner is the owner of the vehicle and he was not present at the spot and further petitioner is having one criminal antecedent, the petitioner, above named, is directed to surrender before the learned Court within two weeks from today and the learned Court shall release the petitioner on the appropriate terms and conditions or on sureties as may deem fit and proper by the learned Court.
