Learned counsel for the Corporation submits, upon instructions that, steps would be taken today (18.09.2025) to clear the footpath.

Learned counsel for the State has obtained instruction from the Officer-in-Charge of Karaya police station signed on September 17, 2025 annexing photographs in support of the submission that the footpath in front of the premises no.13A, West Row and 45C, Karaya Road, Kolkata-17 has been cleared and no scrap material is lying on the subject road. Strict vigil is being maintained by the police.

Learned counsel for the petitioner admits that the scrap material has been removed from the front of the aforesaid premises and stacked in one corner of the footpath.
4. The Officer-in-Charge of Karaya police station and
the officers of the Corporation are directed to ensure that the footpath remains clear at all times for free movement of the pedestrians and no scrap materials shall be kept/stacked on the footpath.
5. The writ petition is disposed of.
6. All parties are to act on the server copy of this
order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
7. Certified copy of this order, if applied for, shall be made available to the parties. [Amrita Sinha, J]
