3 44' HCGRJ W.P.No.16620 of 2025 The Court made the following Order: Petitioner is working as Village Revenue Officer Grade-ll and is stated to be eligible for promotion to the post of Village Revenue Officer Grade-1. He was implicated in Crime No.04/RCT-ACB- VJA/2023, for the offences punishable under Section 7(a) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, which is stated to be pending investigation. Petitioner was arrested and later enlarged on bail. Thereafter, he was placed under suspension on 16.06.2023 and later got reinstated into service on 28.10.2024.
As per the seniority list prepared and published on 19.05.2025, petitioner is shown at Serial No. 125, on account of registration of above said crime, his case is not considered for promotion. Though petitioner has been suspended and later reinstated, so far no disciplinary proceedings are initiated against him. Heard Sri Pandiri Babu Rao, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Assistant Government Pleader for Services-I for

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that it would suffice to direct respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for promotion in terms of G.O.Ms.No.257, General Administration (Ser.C) Department, dated 10.06.1999.
HCGRJ W.P.No.l6620of2025 Learned Assistant Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents does not refute the said submission.

facts and circumstances of the case, without touching the merits of the matter, the Writ Petition is disposed of at the admission stage, with the consent of both the directing the respondents to consider the
learned counsel. case of the petitioner for promotion strictly in terms of G.O.Ms.No.257, General Administration (Ser.C) Department, dated 10.06.1999 and without criminal case in Crime No.04/RCT-ACB-VJA/2023 referring to the pending against the petitioner, as and when promotions are affected. There shall be no order as to costs. As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions, pending stand closed. if any, shall ASS/STAN registrar SEd^ © //TRUE COPY// FFICER .
