1. This is an office reference.
2. This Court, vide order dated 23.01.2025, passed in MCRC No. 653 of 2025, while rejecting the bail to the applicants, namely, Naresh Kumar Kashyap and Geeta Devi, had expressed its trust that the trial Court should make an earnest endeavor to conclude the trial expeditiously in accordance with law, preferably within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order, if there was no legal impediment. 3. The learned Special Judge (NDPS Act), Bastar at Jagdalpur, District – Bastar (C.G.) Through the Principal District and Sessions Judge, Bastar, District – Bastar (C.G.) vide his request letter dated 07.05.2025 has requested for grant of some more time for concluding the trial.
4. It transpires from perusal of the PUD, that in this case, the trial is fixed for prosecution evidence, and at present only the evidence of Investigating Officer is yet to be recorded. Hence, it is likely to take some time for concluding the trial. Therefore, he prays for grant of further more time for concluding the trial.
5. The request appears to be reasonable. The concerned trial Court is
directed to conclude the trial as early as possible, preferably within a further period of three months from today.
6. Accordingly, this CRMP stands disposed off with the aforesaid direction.
7. Registry is directed to send a certified copy of this order to the trial Court concerned for necessary information and compliance. Sd/-
