01. The petitioner through the medium of this petition is seeking a direction upon respondent nos. 2 to 4 to provide security cover to him and his family members.
02. Heard and considered.
03. It has been submitted that on 20.02.2025 some unknown persons came to the residence of the petitioners and they asked him not to solemnize marriage of his daughter to one Mumtaz Ahmed as according to those unknown persons, respondent no.5 is opposed to the said marriage. It has been further submitted that the said unknown persons abused the petitioner and his family members and on the same date, he was kidnapped by the said persons at behest of respondent no.5. It has been alleged that the petitioner was given a beating by the said persons and he was also made to sign some documents/affidavits in which it was recorded that the petitioner would not solemnize the marriage of his daughter with Mumtaz Ahmed. It has also been alleged that respondent no.5, who is inimical towards the petitioner, has extended life threats against the petitioner so that he desists from solemnizing marriage of his daughter with Mumtaz Ahmed. It has been further contended that

the petitioner had filed a representation on 22.02.2025 before the Deputy Commissioner concerned as well before respondent nos. 2 to 5 seeking redressal of his grievance and demanding action against respondent no.5 but nothing has been done in the matter. It has been contended that the petitioner is feeling unsafe because of the inaction of the official respondents.
04. Issue notice to the respondents. Ms. Sagira Jafer, assisting counsel to Ms. Monika Kohli, Senior Additional Advocate General accepts notice on behalf of respondent Nos. 1 to 4.
05. Having regard to the relief sought in the instant petition and with the consent of the parties, the petition can be disposed of at this stage by extending appropriate directions to the official respondent nos. 1 to 4.
06. Accordingly, respondent nos. 1 to 4 are directed to examine the grievance of the petitioner as projected in the petition and if there is any threat to the life or property of the petitioner and his family members, adequate security shall be provided to him.
07. A copy of this order through the counsel be supplied to respondent no.2 for necessary action.
