1. This is an office reference.
2. This Court, vide order dated 21.11.2024 passed in MCRC No. 7735 of 2024, while allowing the bail to the applicant, namely, Bhupendra Singh Kshatriya @ Bhupendra Thakur, had expressed its trust that the trial Court would make an earnest endeavor to conclude the trial KUNAL DEWANGAN Digitally signed by KUNAL DEWANGAN
2 expeditiously in accordance with law, preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of the order, if there was no legal impediment.
3. The learned Special Judicial Magistrate (C.B.I) Raipur, District- Raipur (C.G.) vide his request letter dated 13.05.2025 has requested for grant of some more time for concluding the trial.
4. It transpires from perusal of the PUD, that the said order of the this Court was received by the trial Court on 23.11.2024. Thereafter, upon the appearance of the accused, charges were framed on 02.01.2025 and the matter was fixed for evidence on 09.01.2025. From the said date till today, out of a total of 48 witnesses, the evidence of 19 witnesses has been recorded. As the case is related to the CBI and involves a large number of documentary evidences, considerable time is required to record the testimony of the witnesses. Hence, he prays for grant of some more time for concluding the trial.
5. The request appears to be reasonable. The concerned trial Court is
directed to conclude the trial as early as possible, preferably within a further period of five months from today.
6. Accordingly, this CRMP stands disposed off with the aforesaid direction.
7. Registry is directed to send a certified copy of this order to the trial Court concerned for necessary information and compliance. Sd/- (Ramesh Sinha)
