The Chief Information Commissioner, Rajasthan Information Commission, Office at C-Wing, Vitta Bhawan, Janpath, Near Rajasthan Assembly, Jyoti Nagar, Jaipur. ----Respondents For Petitioner(s) : Mr. RK Paliwal for Mr. RA Katta For Respondent(s) : HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE SUDESH BANSAL Order 10/03/2025 1. Heard counsel for petitioner and perused the record. 2. Instant writ petition was filed by and on behalf of University of Rajasthan, impugning the order dated 06.04.2011 passed by Chief Information Commissioner, directing the petitioner to provide information asked for by respondent No.1 within a period of 21 days and petitioner was saddled with the cost of Rs.10,000/-. 3. Counsel for petitioner states that the information asked for by respondent No.1 is available on the website and fundamentally petitioner is aggrieved by imposition of cost of Rs.10,000/- arbitrarily. 4. As per Office report dated 27.03.2012, notice of respondent No.1 was received after service, however, since notice was not [2025:RJ-JP:10785] (2 of 2) [CW-17975/2011] served in person, again notices were issued. Later on, it has come on record that the respondent No.1 was residing in the rented house and he has left that address. 5. Considering the grievance of petitioner in respect of imposition of cost of Rs.10,000/- only, since no one has put in appearance on behalf of respondent No.1 to claim such cost, therefore, it is not desirable to keep pending the writ petition for this purpose. 6. Accordingly, the proceedings of instant writ petition are hereby closed. However, in case respondent No.1 would claim the cost of Rs.10,000/-, petitioner may invoke the appropriate legal remedy afresh. 7. With the aforesaid observations, instant writ petition stands disposed of. 8. All pending application(s), if any, stand(s) disposed of. (SUDESH BANSAL),J RONAK JAIMAN/27
