By means of this petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, petitioner wants consideration of his representation dated 04.02.2025 by the Vigilance Officer in the light of pronouncement of law by the Supreme Court in Criminal Appeal No. 5009 of 2024, Nirankar Nath Pandey v. State of U.P. & Others. It is submitted that in the representation, petitioner has prayed for separating the records qua details of income tax returns of his wife while the vigilance inquiry was on against the petitioner. Learned Standing Counsel submits that since the matter is pending consideration before the respondent no. 1, he may be directed to dispose of the same in accordance with law. In view of the above, this petition stands disposed of with a direction to the State Government to pass appropriate orders upon the representation of the petitioner, positively within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
