Hon'ble Anish Kumar Gupta,J. 1. On oral prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioners, he is permitted to correct the description of respondent No. 1 in the cause title. 2. The petitioners have prayed for a direction to respondents No. 1, 2 & 3 to consider and decide their representation dated 03.02.2025 by a reasoned and speaking order within stipulated period and not to interfere in the possession of the petitioners in the meantime. 3. The admitted fact is that certain land was acquired by the State for the benefit of Gorakhpur Development Authority, Gorakhpur. It led to a farmers agitation and thereafter a settlement took place between the farmers and the Authorities where under according to the petitioners, the State-respondents promised to pay additional compensation at the rate of Rs.70,00,000.00 per hectare in lump sum to the affected farmers apart from 10% developed land. 4. The grievance urged is that although the said compromise was duly approved by the Committee and thereafter also in Board's meeting of the respondent, Development Authority, but it has not been given effect to so far. In the said context, the prayer for deciding the representation has been made. 5. Shri N.P. Singh, learned counsel appearing on behalf of Gorakhpur Development Authority, Gorakhpur and Shri Rajiv Gupta, learned Addl. Chief Standing Counsel appearing for the State-respondents do not have any objection in case direction is issued for deciding the representation. 6. Accordingly, without expressing any opinion on merits, the writ petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No. 1 to decide the representation dated 03.02.2025 within twelve weeks from the date of communication of the instant order along with photocopy of the representation after due notice and opportunity of hearing to the petitioners as well as the respondent, Development Authority.
