The present petition has been filed by the applicants with the following prayer: “It is, therefore, prayed that this Hon’ble Court may be pleased to allow the application by making an order to quash the Crime No. 6 of 2022 dated 02.01.2020 and quash the final report dated 21.03.2022 and also quash the entire criminal proceeding pending before 8th Additional Session Judge, Bilaspur, District Bilaspur (C.G.) as Session Trial No. 116 of 2022 and discharge from the case to the applicant.” 4. Learned State Counsel submits that, in the present case, charges have already been framed against the applicants, and ten prosecution witnesses have already been examined by the learned trial Court. The trial is currently in progress. 5. We have perused the prayers and pleadings made in the petition, along with the annexures filed in this case. 6. It appears that the applicants have lost interest in pursuing the present matter due to the efflux of time. Accordingly, the present petition is dismissed on this ground alone.
