This Court, vide order dated 16.07.2024 passed in Cr.MP No. 670 of 2024, while dismissing the said petition, had the trial Court to conclude the 2 trial as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of 6 months, in accordance with law, if there is no legal impediment. 3. The learned 9th Additional Sessions Judge, Bilaspur (C.G.) vide his request letter dated 06.05.2025 has requested for grant of 3 months further time for concluding the trial of Sessions Case No. 91/2023 (State of Chhattisgarh Vs. Ratan Singh). 4. It transpires from perusal of the PUD that in the present case, evidence of 14 prosecution witnesses has been recorded and presently the case is scheduled for submission of the report of the handwriting expert. Memorandum has been issued through the Director General of Police for submission of the report of the handwriting expert related to the suicide note in the case, but the report of the handwriting expert has not been submitted till date by the prosecution. Hence, the conclusion of the trial may take some more time. 5. The request appears to be reasonable. As requested, further 3 months time is granted for disposal of the said case. The concerned trial Court is directed to conclude the trial as early as possible, preferably within the stipulated period. 6. Accordingly, this Cr.M.P. stands disposed off with the aforesaid direction. 7. Registry is directed to sent a certified copy of this order to the trial Court concerned for necessary information and compliance.
