Petitioner’s grievance in the present writ petition is with respect to non-consideration of his case for promotion to the post of School Assistant (Physical Sciences) under benchmark disability in terms of G.O.Ms.No.77, General Administration (Services-D) Department, dated 02.08.2023. Petitioner has been selected and got appointed as Secondary Grade Teacher (Urdu), through recruitment process conducted under DSC, 2018, under Physically Handicapped Quota.
Petitioner claims to be eligible and entitled to be considered for promotion to the post of School Assistant (Physical Science), in view of four percent (4%) reservation provided even in promotions, in terms of G.O.Ms.No.77, dated 02.08.2023. Petitioner has made representation dated 31.05.2025 requesting to consider his case for promotion in terms of aforesaid G.O.
2. Heard Sri G.V.L.Murthy, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Assistant Government Pleader for Services-II for respondents. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that it would suffice to direct the respondents to consider aforesaid representation, for the purpose of promotion. 4 HCGR,J W.P.No.16717 of 2025
4. Learned Assistant Government Pleader, on the other hand, submits that case of petitioner would be considered, in accordance with law, by attending to the representation made. 5. In view of aforesaid submissions, the Writ Petition is disposed of, by directing the respondents to consider the petitioner’s representation dated 31.05.2025, in terms of G.O.Ms.No.77, General Administration (Services-D) Department, dated 02.08.2023, as and when promotions are affected.
