Affidavit of compliance has been filed in Court today, which is taken on record. The reasoned order passed by the gram panchayat on July 14, 2025, records compliance, although belated. From the said order it appears that the allegations of the applicants are correct. It is submitted by the pradhan who is present in Court that 90% of the constructions are unauthorized and the order along with the documents have been forwarded to the Sub-Divisional Officer in terms of Section 23(5) of the West Bengal Panchayat Act, 1973. Accordingly, the contempt application is disposed of and the contempt proceedings are dropped. The Rule is discharged.
