JUSTICE YARENJUNGLA LONGKUMER O R D E R 24.07.2025 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, Ms. H. Zeliang and learned Government Advocate, Ms. Livika for the State respondents. Page No.# 3/4 2. In the present writ petition, the petitioner submits that he was appointed as Work-Charged Labour w.e.f. 21.06.1992 with Employee Code- Mon/0056 and posted under the Sub-Divisional Officer, Phomching under the establishment of Executive Engineer, PWD (R&B), Mon Division, Mon, Nagaland. 3. The petitioner states that he has been serving the Department as Work-charged Labour continuously for more than 31 years and he was paid an amount of Rs. 5,250/- (Rupees Five thousand Two hundred Fifty) per month. However, the salary of the petitioner has not been released w.e.f. January 2021 till date. It is further submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that his name and particulars have been verified and the same have been found to be tallying in the PIMS. To this effect, a Letter has been written to the Chief Engineer, PWD (R&B), Nagaland, Kohima by the Executive Engineer, PWD (R&B) Mon Division by Letter dated 26.05.2025 stating that the petitioner falls under Category R2 Documents and Bio-data i.e. Employee’s name, date of birth, father’s name and date of joining and all the related documents are tallying and same with the PIMS. Therefore, it was requested to merge the said cited employee with the Category ‘A’ so that he could be able to draw his pending salary. The petitioner, therefore, states that a direction may be given to the State respondents to release his salary w.e.f. January 2021 till date. 4. Learned Government Advocate, Ms. Livika has fairly submitted that as the petitioner’s particulars and documents have been found to be tallying with the PIMS, as per the Letter the State respondents shall release the pending salary of the petitioner w.e.f. January 2021. Page No.# 4/4 5. It is therefore, directed that the R-5 shall merge the petitioner’s case with the Category-‘A’ and forward the same to R-2 expeditiously so that clearance can be given to release the salary of the petitioner. The entire exercise shall be completed within a period of 2 (two) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order. 6. Petition disposed of. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
