This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India with the following prayer for:

“.... a Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of respondents in opening rowdy sheet and continue the same and consequential action of 4th respondent in insisting the petitioners to appear before his authority every day for marking rowdy sheeters attendance as illegal, irregular, irrational, without any authority of law and violative of Articles 14 and 21 of Constitution of India and also violative of Police Standing Orders and consequently quash the Rowdy Sheets opened against the petitioners by directing the respondents not to interfere with our life and liberty in any manner.”
2. Sri Md.Farooq, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home would submit that there are no cases pending against the Petitioners and in view of the public interest, rowdy sheets have been opened against the Petitioners.
3. Sri Ramakrishna Akurathi, learned counsel for the Petitioners would submit that, no cases are pending against the Petitioners and hence, the rowdy sheets opened against the Petitioners may be closed.
4. Considering the submissions made, the Writ Petition is allowed setting aside the Rowdy Sheets vide Proceedings in C.No.143/GL-SDO.N(R)/2017, dated 21.10.2017 against the Petitioners. There shall be no order as to costs.
