Learned counsel for the revisionist seeks permission to withdraw the revision on the ground that since it is a matter pertaining to maintenance and the parties have settled the dispute amicably, the revisionist does not want to proceed with the revision. The basic principle otherwise is that a criminal revision once admitted has to be decided on merits. But since it is a matter pertaining to maintenance and the parties have settled the dispute amicably, there is no reason to keep the revision pending. The revision stands disposed of, accordingly.
