The present appeal is directed against the judgment and award dated 05.10.2023 passed by the M.A.C.T./2nd Addl. District Judge, Kashipur in M.A.C.P. No. 31 of 2021, whereby the Tribunal awarded ₹17,29,475/- in favour of respondent no.1/claimant for enhancement of the compensation amount. 4. There is a delay of 37 days in filing the present appeal. A delay condonation application along with an affidavit has been filed by the appellant seeking to condone the delay. The cause shown is found sufficient. Accordingly, the delay condonation application is allowed and the delay is condoned. 5. The case is taken up today before the National Lok Adalat. 6. The Regional Manager, Oriental Insurance Company Limited is present before the Adalat. 7. Before the Lok Adalat, the parties have amicably agreed to settle the dispute. Accordingly, the present appeal is disposed of on the basis that respondent no.1/Insurance Company shall pay an additional amount of ₹3,50,000/- to the respondents, over and above the compensation already awarded, without any interest, within six weeks from today.” 8. In view of the compromise arrived at between the parties before the Lok Adalat, the present appeal is disposed of accordingly. 9. The compromise sheet shall form part of the record.
