ORDER:
This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India with the following prayer for:
“…pleased to issue an appropriate Writ, Order or Direction, more particularly one in the nature of a Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of 3rd and 4th respondents in continuing the rowdy sheet No.212 of Cherukupalli Police Station, Bapatla District, even after a period of more than 9 years from the date of acquittal in S.C.No.295 of 2013 in the Court of the Senior Civil Judge Assistant Sessions Judge, Repalle as being arbitrary, illegal, violative of APPM Standing
Order No.601 and unconstitutional and cum consequently quash the rowdy sheet no.212 of Cherukupalli Police Station, Bapatla District continuing in the name of the petitioner and pass…”
2. Sri V.Farooq, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home, by way of counter affidavit, would submit that the cases registered against the Petitioner were ended in acquittal. It is further stated that, to curb and curtail the unlawful activities of the Petitioner in the vicinity, rowdy sheet was opened against the Petitioner.
3. Sri Meka Rahul Chowdary, learned counsel for the Petitioner would submit that no cases are pending against the Petitioner.
4. Considering the submissions, the Writ Petition is allowed and the impugned rowdy sheet No.212 of Cherukupalli Police Station, Bapatla District, is hereby set aside. There shall be no order as to costs.
