No. 16643 of 2025 The Court made the following Order: Petitioner is working as Field Assistant of GuHapadu Gram Panchayat, Regidi Amadalavatasa Mandal, Vizianagaram District having been appointed under MGNREG Scheme. She was issued show-cause notice dated 28.03.2025 on certain irregularities and called upon to submit explanation. Explanation came to be submitted on 08.04.2025, refuting the allegations and inquiry is stated to be pending. That being so, now the 4'*^ respondent has issued impugned proceedings dated 10.06.2025, placing the petitioner under suspension pending inquiry. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in terms of
3. Clause 13(B)(5) of the Field Assistants Human Resource Policy, the inquiry ought to be completed within thirty days. Though show-cause notice came to be issued on 28.03.2025, the inquiry has not been completed so far, contrary to the aforesaid timelines and on top of it, the respondents have now placed the petitioner under suspension. which is arbitrary and illegal. Sri M.S.R.Chandra Murthy, learned Standing Counsel for respondent Nos.3 to 5, on the other hand, submits that the inquiry is
