This Court, vide order dated 23.08.2024 passed in MCRC No. 5934 of 2024, while rejecting the bail petition to the petitioner, namely, Prashant Sultaniya, had expressed its trust that the trial Court should make an earnest endeavor to conclude the trial expeditiously in accordance with law, preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of the order, if there was no legal impediment. The learned Special Judge, NDPS, Sariapali District- Mahasamund (C.G.) vide his request letter dated 03.05.2025 has requested for grant of one month time for concluding the trial. 4. It transpires from perusal of the PUD, that in the present case, the statements of 10 prosecution witnesses are remained to be examined. Considering the numbers of witnesses, the trial is likely to take some more time for its conclusion. Hence, he prays for grant of some more time for concluding the trial. 5. The request appears to be reasonable. The concerned trial Court is directed to conclude the trial as early as possible, preferably within a further period of six months from today. 6. Accordingly, this CRMP stands disposed off with the aforesaid direction. 7.
