Heard Mr. S.R.J.Jaiswal, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr. Shashank Thakur, Deputy Advocate General for the respondents No. 1 to 3 as well as Mr. Brijesh Singh, learned counsel for the respondent 2 No. 4. 2. By this petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, the petitioner has prayed for the following relief(s): “10.1 This Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to issue a writ in the nature of Habeas Corpus, thereby commanding and directing the respondent No. 2 and 3 to produce Respondent No. 5 (wife of the petitioner) before this Hon’ble Court. 10.2 This Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to direct the respondent No. 2 to provide police protection to the petitioner and respondent No. 5. 10.3 Further this Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to pass an order or direction by which allow the petitioner to bring respondent No. 5 with him. 10.4 Any other relief, which this Hon’ble Court may deem fit in favour of the petitioner, may also be granted.” 3. Pursuant to the order dated 15.05.2025, the Corpus/respondent No. 5 was produced before this Court yesterday and her parents were also present. Yesterday, the parties were directed to appear before the Mediation Centre of this Court so as to arrive at an amicable settlement. 4. In compliance of the order dated 10.06.2025, the parties appeared before the Mediation Centre and it has been reported by the Mediator that the parties have settled their dispute amicably. 5. In view of the above, nothing survives for adjudication in this petition and the same stands disposed of subject to fulfillment of the terms of the settlement arrived at between the parties. 6. The amount of Rs. 1 Lac deposited by the petitioner before the Registry of this Court may be refunded back to the petitioner, if an application is made in this regard.
