The petitioner – accused No.4, has been charge- sheeted for the offences punishable under Sections 498A, 504, and 506 read with Section 34 of the IPC and Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961. 2. The petitioner is the elder brother of accused No.1, and accused Nos.2 and 3 are the father-in-law and mother-in-law of respondent No.2. They had approached this Court in W.P. No.24845/2023 challenging the very same impugned proceedings. This Court, vide order dated 19.04.2024, quashed the proceedings insofar as they relate to the said accused, noting that the parties had amicably resolved their dispute and the de facto complainant had agreed to withdraw all allegations made against them. Therefore, this petition also deserves to be - 3 - NC: 2025:KHC:14901 CRL.P No. 4995 of 2025 disposed of in terms of the order passed by this Court in W.P. No.24845/2023. 3. Accordingly, I pass the following: ORDER i) The Criminal Petition is allowed; ii) The impugned proceedings in C.C.No.11666/2016 registered by Vijayanagara Police Station on the file of the learned XXIV ACMM Court, Bengaluru insofar it relates to the petitioner- accused No.4 is hereby quashed. iii) I.A.No.1/2025 does not survive for consideration.
