By way of instant petition, the petitioner has made a prayer to direct the respondents to either regularize his services or grant work charge status from the date he completed 8 years of continuous daily wage service. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner has placed reliance on the judgment passed by Hon’ble Supreme Court in Civil Appeal No.1595 of 2025, titled State of H.P. & others vs. Suraj Mani & another, decided on 6th February, 2025. 1 Whether reporters of the local papers may be allowed to see the judgment? 2 ( 2025:HHC:28505 ) 3. In view of the fact that the petitioner has restricted his claim for grant of work charge status on completion of 8 years continuous daily wage service, this petition can be disposed of by issuing direction to the respondents to consider and decide the case of the petitioner for grant of work charge status immediately on completion of 8 years continuous daily wage service, strictly in terms of judgment passed by Hon’ble Supreme Court in Suraj Mani (supra). Ordered accordingly. 4. The respondents are directed to consider and decide the case of the petitioner in light of Suraj Mani (supra) for grant of work charge status on completion of 8 years continuous daily wage service. The decision shall be taken by the competent authority within eight weeks from the date of passing of this order. 5.
