V UMA DEVI The Court made the following: ORDER: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India with the following prayer: “…..to issue an appropriate Writ, Order or Direction, more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus to a) declare the action of the respondents herein in issuing Advertisement No CRPD/CR/2017-18/10 dated 20-01- 2018, inviting applications for appointment as Junior Associates (Customer Support and Sales) in clerical cadre in State Bank of India by direct recruitment without filling up 50% of posts by the promotees from subordinate cadre to clerical cadre as being illegal, arbitrary, violative of Articles 14,16 and 21 of the Constitution of India. b) direct the respondents to fill up the clerical posts in the ratios of 1/1 between the promotees and the direct recruits. c) declare the 2 action of the respondents in prescribing age limit in the agreement dated.27.12.2005 for promotion from sub-ordinate cadre to clerical cadre as illegal and violative of Article 21 of the Constitution of India d) and pass such other order or orders……” 2. Sri T.Kumar Babu, learned counsel for the Petitioners would submit that the relief has become infructuous and petition may be disposed of. 3. Learned counsel for the respondents is in attendance. 4. In that view, the Writ Petition is dismissed, since relief has become infructuous. There shall be no order as to costs.
