AG/GA, Mizoram for R1 B E F O R E HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE NELSON SAILO ORDER 08.04.2025 Heard Mr. A K Rokhum, learned counsel for the petitioners and Mr. Benjamin Lalthlamuana, learned Government Advocate for the respondents. By filing this writ petition, the petitioners have challenged the Notification dated Page No.# 3/3 19.06.2024 (Annexure-7) by which, the Executive Body of Ajasora-III Village Council was placed under suspension for a period of 3 (three) months with immediate effect. The petitioners have also challenged the Notification dated 01.10.2024 (Annexure-9) by which, the suspension period of the said Village Council Executive Body has been extended for another 3 (three) months with immediate effect. At this stage, Mr. A K Rokhum, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the 3 (three) months’ extension of the suspension of the Executive Body of the Village Council has not only expired but in fact, fresh election was conducted on 12.03.2025. He, therefore, submits that the writ petition has become infructuous. Mr. Benjamin Lalthlamuana, learned Government Advocate agrees to the said submission. In view of above, the writ petition stands disposed of as infructuous. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
