The petitioner has been made accused in connection with N.D.P.S. Case No. 127 of 2024 for the offences registered under sections 8(c) read with section 15(c), 25 and 29 of the N.D.P.S. Act, pending in the court of learned Judicial Commissioner-cum-Special Judge, N.D.P.S., Ranchi. On 23.11.2024, N.C.B., Ranchi intercepted a truck bearing registration no. JH 05BW-8778 from A place near Sharma Jee Line Hotel, Rampur NH-33 Tata-Ranchi Road. On search, 4348.8 kgs. of poppy straw was found loaded on the said truck. It was submitted that the petitioner was neither arrested at the spot, nor anything was recovered from his possession. It was further submitted that similarly situated co-accused persons have been granted bail by this Court earlier. In view of the submissions made above, I am inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, above named, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees twenty thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Judicial Commissioner-cum-Special Judge, N.D.P.S., Ranchi, in connection with N.D.P.S.
